Transfer Station/Recycling Center...

The Town of Arundel owns a Transfer Station on Bergeron Drive for the disposal of household waste, recyclables and demolition debris.  Use of the Transfer Station is limited to Arundel Residents.  Residents using the Transfer Station are required to display a Transfer Station Sticker which must be permanently affixed to their vehicle windshield.  Stickers are available at the Town Clerk’s Office.

Proof of residency is required for a sticker.  Residency can be established with either:
      1. An automobile registration showing Arundel residency.

      2. A property tax bill from the Town of Arundel. The bill must show property tax paid on a building. Stickers will not be issued based on property tax assessed on unimproved land.

      3. Other proof of residency such as a Lease or Rental Agreement between Landlord and Tenant, or a utility bill showing Arundel residency.

There is no charge for disposal of household waste and recyclables, but a fee is charged for oversize items, electronics, hazardous waste and demolition debris.  Cash is not accepted at the Transfer Station.  Checks for these transactions should be made payable to Pine Tree Waste.

Recyclables should be separated into fiber products (cardpoard, paper, junk mail, etc.) and other recyclables (glass, plastic, cans).  More information about recycling is available at the RECYCLE BETTER site.

Items deemed too large for disposal at the Arundel Transfer Station may be disposed of at the commercially operated Kennebunk facility (on Sea Road).
