ARUNDEL PUBLIC WORKS IS HIRING

The Town of Arundel population 4,333 is seeking folks who are interested in working for a Municipality in its Public Works Department. The Department presently has three open positions to fill and are seeking individuals who wish to learn about the operation and use of various equipment (Loader-Excavator-Road side mower and 10 wheel – 6-wheel trucks), understanding road construction-paving-culvert replacement-maintenance along with knowledge of snowplowing and ice control methods. All days could be something new and challenging but if hard work and getting your hands dirty is not what you think about work then do not apply. Compensation may vary based on your experiences but if you come with no experiences expect starting pay @ $25/hr. The town offers a very robust benefit package and for those great candidates, the town will work with the employee to achieve their Commercial Driver’s License. The workdays are four 10-hour days so unless you are called in for a Road Type Emergency (3-hour overtime minimum) you will have long weekends to spend with friends and family. If not sitting behind a desk suits you, you do not mind all kinds of outdoor weather conditions, I think Arundel has a job for you.

To apply reach out to the Town Manager Keith M. Trefethen via e-mail at townmanager@arundelmaine.org

Volunteers needed for the following positions:

ARUNDEL BOARD OF APPEALS (2) Two Positions

BOARD OF ASSESSMENT REVIEW (1) One Position

ARUNDEL BUDGET BOARD (3) Three Positions

All these positions are appointed by the Town Manager with approval by the Select Board if you would like to serve your community,
